About Tanheli

Tanheli is an archeological site in Ningxiang, Hunan Province, South Central China, one of significant national authentic and social locales in Hunan. Arranged in the upper spans of the Wei River in Tanheli town, Huangcai town, Ningxiang, It is prestigious as a Bronze Age social focus in South China. Tanheli is well known as the area where the Four-goat Square Zun and the Da He ding were uncovered alongside 300 other bronze relics. It was distinguished as a site of the Western Zhou administration.
The center covers a territory of 888,600 square meters 9,565,000 sq ft. The Wei or Weishui River, starts in Weishan Township, is 117.2 kilometers 72.8 mi long, and has a waste bowl of 2,125 square kilometers 820 sq mi. It is the biggest waterway in Ningxiang City and one of the biggest tributaries of the Xiang River. The previous Shang lands were isolated into inherited fiefs which turned out to be progressively free of the ruler. In 771, the Zhou were driven out of the Wei River valley; a while later genuine power was in the hands of the lord's ostensible vassals.
