Slender West Lake

Slender West Lake is a picturesque lake and national stop in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. In particular, it is situated in Hanjiang District of Yangzhou, only northwest of the city's memorable focus. A long bank planted with sobbing willows traverses the lake; at its midpoint stands a square porch with structures at every one of the corners and one in the middle. Around the lake is a recreation center in which are discovered a few attractions: Lotus Flower Pagoda in Beijing's Beihai Park; Small Gold Mountain ; and the Fishing Platform, a most loved withdraw of the Qianlong Emperor.

The ruler was so satisfied by his fortunes in angling at this detect he requested extra stipends for the town. For reasons unknown, his prosperity had been expanded by nearby swimmers who hid in the lake hectically appending fish to his snare. The Slender West Lake's southern end is close to the northwestern corner of Yangzhou's memorable downtown area the previous walled city. Starting here, the Erdaohe Canal runs south, along the western edge of the previous walled city to the Hehuachi at the old city's southwest corner; the Hehuachi is in its turn associated by the short Erdaogou Canal with the Old Grand Canal of China.
