About Longhua Temple
It was first worked in 242 AD, amid the Three Kingdoms Period.The Longhua Temple is a Buddhist Temple committed to the Maitreya Buddha situated in Shanghai, China. Albeit the greater part of the present-day structures date from later reconstructions,
As per a legend, Sun Quan King of the Kingdom of Wu had acquired Sharira relics, which are incinerated stays of the Buddha.
To house these valuable relics, the lord requested the development of 13 pagodas. Longhua Pagoda part of the Longhua sanctuary complex is said to have been one of them.
Like the capacity of the pagoda, the name of the sanctuary additionally has its cause in a nearby legend as indicated by which a mythical beast once showed up on the site
