About Liberation Pavilion

The Liberation Pavilion is a landmark celebrating the raging of the city of Jinan, Shandong by the People's Liberation Army amid the Battle of Jinan in the Chinese Civil War. It remains in the internal south-eastern corner of the city channel close to the site where the troops of People's Liberation Army broke the city divider on September 24, 1948. The city divider has since been evacuated. Development of the structure was finished in September 1986. The whole structure remains around 34 meters tall and possesses a zone of 617 square meters. Its general building configuration takes after established Chinese examples. Set on wide stone platform, the structure legitimate has two stories and is topped by an eaved rooftop.

Notwithstanding, the sides of the platform are adorned with bas-alleviation stone carvings that portray scenes from the common war fight for Jinan in the style of Socialist authenticity. Another prominent enlivening element of the structure are the plated help engravings that read "Freedom Pavilion" on the stone platform and in addition on the structure appropriate. The characters of these engravings were taken from the penmanship of Marshal Chen Yi, who charged the Shandong counter-hostile amid the Chinese Civil War. The inside of the structure houses a display identified with the common war fight for Jinan.
