Annandale National Historic Site
About Annandale National Historic Site
Annandale National Historic Site is a national historic site of Canada situated in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. It was worked in 1883 by Edwin Delevan Tillson Tillsonburg's first leader, child of the author of Tillsonburg, George Tillson, and granddad of swashbuckler Tillson Harrison and his better half Mary Ann as a feature of Mr. Tillson's retirement venture, Annandale Farm. The site was assigned a National Historic Site in 1997.
The Esthetic craftsmanship development has its underlying foundations in England and it cleared through North America amid the 1880s. It remained very well known for a little more than 10 years. Within Annandale House, there is a wealth of adornment illustrative of the 1880s Esthetic workmanship development. Aestheticism can be found in the divider covers, painted roofs, chimneys, recolored and scratched glass and cut into the woodwork. Annandale House is one of only a handful few surviving models of homes brightened in this style in Canada.
