Neropolis

Neropolis is a municipality in central Goias kingdom, Brazil. The area become part of the municipality of Pirenopolis till 1892 when it have become a part of Santana das Antas, gift-day Anapolis. In 1894 Joaquim Taveira established himself with his circle of relatives to cut down the trees and plant vegetation. He attracted other households and shortly a settlement arose with the call Matinha dos Taveiras. In 1904 this call was changed to Campo Alegre. In 1918 the call was modified again to Cerrado, after which in 1930 to Neropolis, a tribute to Senator Nero Macedo, an early twentieth century politician who had promised to convey the railroad to the location.

It became a municipality in 1948. The cattle herd is huge considering the small dimensions of the municipality. The municipality is part of the metropolitan place of Goiania, that's 25 kilometers to the west. It is nationally referred to as the city of garlic and sweets. Strategically located, There have been 37,000 head in 2006, including 4,750 milking cows. The chicken enterprise is properly developed with 192,400 head in 2006.
