About Ghardaia
Ghardaia is the capital town of Ghardaia Province, Algeria. The commune of Ghardaïa has a population of 93,423 in keeping with the 2008 census, up from 87,599 in 1998 with an annual boom rate of 0.7%. It is placed in northern-significant Algeria in the Sahara Desert and lies alongside the left financial institution of the Wadi Mzab.
The M'zab valley in the Ghardaia Province become inscribed under the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1982, as a cultural assets evaluated below the standards II for its settlement affecting city planning even to the present century III for its Ibadi cultural values and V a agreement tradition which has prevailed to the present century. The M'Zab valley, in limestone plateau, as inscribed below the UNESCO Heritage List, is a completely unique conglomeration of 5 towns restricted in location of 75 km² located 600 km to the south of Algiers, the capital of Algeria. The authentic structure of the semi wilderness valley is dated to early 11th century ascribed to the Ibadis with their cultural identity at the beginning traced to the Maghreb who had their capital at Tahert as an Ibadi Kingdom.
