Christmas beckoning- the best of shopping in Europe

[Europe] Some love it, some hate it; but no one can ignore it. No no no...not Christmas (we all adore it and wait for it), its shopping that I am talking about. Today's times are such that no matter how you hate to go shopping, you might and definitely have found yourself with those shopping bags in your hand at one point or the other.

But when it comes to Christmas shopping, things are different. The air is stuffed with good vibration and the aura of festivity envelopes the sky above. The chilly and battering December wind feels pleasant, the snow fall looks like blessings descending from heaven and the fog in the air seems to be stairways to heaven (thanks to the iconic Led Zeppelin lyrics!)

Santa dearest might pack his gifts for you but you are no content with that, are you? Well you are not to be blamed, the season is the adorable culprit here!

The whole world looks like a bustling market place during the Christmas week. But like every market has some best shops, the world market is also flooded with a few ideal destinations for Christmas shopping.

Antwerp, Belgium: The province of Antwerp near the capital of Belgium is home to another busy Christmas market area with colourful stalls, a Cathedral, a temporary ice rink and an exotic Christmas evening atmosphere. Time to visit it is between December 7th to December 26th.

Berlin, Germany: If you are a bit done with the classic Christmas scene and looking for a modernized representation, Berlin is where you got to be! Running from November 26th to the New Years' Eve, Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche market in Berlin is a captivating destination with four million shoppers annually visiting it.

Tallinn, Estonia: Don't look for the glory of Berlin or the charm of Paris here. What awaits you is the unconditional and warm intimacy that the simple markets in Tallinn greets you with. The otherwise pricking cold wind of this region turns hospitable during the holy Christmas time.

Jersey, The English Channel: Christmas gives a whole new definition to this otherwise quiet place. St Helier in Jersey hosts the famous Fête de Noué with dazzling lightings and a bundle of shopping centers from December 7th to December 23rd.

Paris, France: Well, lets admit, you don't need to wait for Christmas to visit the eternally enigmatic and magnetic Paris! But the joy is twice if you spent your Christmas in this dream city with major shopping hubs like Boulevard Saint Germain, Place Saint-Sulpice, and a few more famous ones around the legendary Champs Elysee. The entire December of Paris is plunged in celebration, so plan your trip anytime in between.

Brussels, Belgium: The markets in Brussels also offer some mind blowing shopping options for the Christmas season. You can do some memorable shopping in the Majestic Grand Place or Place St Catherine.

Oxford Street, London: With over 300 shops in its two mile stretch, the Qxford Street is definitely a Christmas shopping hub for the gift hunters.

Christmas is a celebration of peace, harmony and fraternity. The exchange of gifts is perhaps a suggestive custom to emphasize on the spreading of love and good will. In this respect, the gifts become the manifestation of our heartiest wishes and fellow feeling.

Now you know from where to pick up the perfect gift that conveys your feelings for the ones you love and care
