An important country in the continent of North America, Mexico is among the most attractive destinations in the western hemisphere. A large part of Mexico's history still lingers on, gracing the present day with the knowledge and beauty of yesteryear cultures. The country is spilled with ruins dating back to Pre Columbian era, which probably is the biggest attractions of Mexico.
Situated on the southwestern side of North America, Mexico is bordered on the north by United States, by Pacific Ocean in south and west, Guatemala in southeast and Gulf of Mexico in the east.
The past of Mexico is not the only attraction that brings millions of tourists from around the globe year after year. The people of Mexico believe in living their lives to the fullest and it is evident from their lifestyle. Music, parties, and family fun is a way of life for the Mexicans. Then there are some breathtaking beaches that not only are scenic, but offer lot of options for adventure sports.
It is home to the largest city in the world which houses the one fifth of total population of Mexico. Mexico City is the capital and the most visited city of the country. The city has a history of its own that played a huge role in shaping the present of Mexico. It was the center of the the Aztec Empire and one can still see the trails left behind by them in the form of buildings and artifacts in the many museums.
The other important cities of Mexico are Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla and León.
