About Rose Hill Park

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley and FCPRD are satisfied to report the opening of Rose Hill Park. The new stop is open day by day 8 am - Dusk, just shut on Christmas Day. Rose Hill Park offers guests the chance to appreciate the notable and grand highlights of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley's Rose Hill Farm. A 1.2 mile translated strolling trail twists through fields and woods and incorporates a goad trail to a reproduced area of stone divider, and a 1.1 mile circle trail. The trail goes through where the 1862 first Battle of Kernstown finished up.

The recreation center is found 1/3 mile south of the crossing point of Cedar Creek Grade and Jones Road. From Winchester: Take Cedar Creek Grade west to the blazing sign at the crossing point with Jones Road and Merrimans Lane. Turn left (South) onto Jones Road, proceed with 1/3 mile to stop entrance on the left (East) side of the street. Rose Hill Park speaks to an interesting organization between Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPRD) and the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV). A multi year rent of the trailhead zone and trail passageway guarantees free to this critical characteristic and memorable site for zone occupants.
