Rib Mountain

It is a frostily separated monadnock in focal Wisconsin, organized in the Town of Rib Mountain in Marathon County. Made out of quartzite secured with a milder syenite sheath, it was hopped in around 1.5 billion years back. It is close Wausau on the west side of the Wisconsin River, only west of Interstate 39 and only south of Highway 29. The close-by Wausau Downtown Airport at a height of 1201 feet, is found three miles toward the east.

Rib Mountain is perfect around 4 miles 6.4 km long and best at 1,942 feet 592 m above ocean level and 741 feet 226 m over the region space, making it the point with the best distinction in keep running from best to joining scene in the region of Wisconsin. The Rib River and Little Rib River are close-by. Rib Mountain is home to the Rib Mountain State Park and the Granite Peak Ski Area.
