Mumbles & Swansea Bay

Mumbles has been noted for its amazing spot name. The headland is thought by some to have been named by French sailors, after the condition of the two human islands which include the headland, the word 'Mumbles' may be a contamination of the French 'les mamelles', meaning 'the chests'.
