About CCC Museum of South Dakota

The Civilian Conservation Corps CCC was presented in the 1930s as a double push to fight joblessness rates and ensure characteristic assets in country lands claimed by elected, state, and nearby governments. Today, the soul of the CCC Camp and its laborers is kept alive operating at a profit Hills by the Hill City CCC Museum.The exhibition hall, opened in the spring of '09, is housed in the upstairs quarters of the Hill City Visitor Information Center. The 6-foot tall bronze figure out front honors the CCC specialist of the Great Depression time while standing sentry over the front of the building. With 728 square feet of filing and relic show, the CCC Museum will fulfill the interest of any Black Hills history fan, attracting benefactors to the Civilian Conservation Corps' thunderous past.
