About Novohrad Volyns kyi
Novohrad Volyns kyi is a town in the Zhytomyr Oblast of northern Ukraine. Originally referred to as Zvyahel, the city was renamed in 1795 after annexation of territories of Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth by means of the Russian Empire soon after the third Partition of Poland. It serves as the administrative center of Novohrad Volynskyi Raion even though administratively it does no longer belong to the raion and is included one by one as a metropolis of oblast importance. The city is placed on the principle course to Kiev close to its crossing at the Sluch River.
