Tyrnyauz

Tyrnyauz is a town and the regulatory focal point of Elbrussky District of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Russia, situated on the fundamental street prompting the Upper Baksan valley region and on the primary climbing course for Mount Elbrus. Tyrnyauz is the biggest town in the Baksan Valley and a basic provisioning point for outings into the Elbrus region. It was established around a tungsten mine and handling plant, which still stands however is no longer in task. Town status was allowed in 1955.

In July 2000, the town was crushed by a monstrous surge and mudslide. Apartment obstructs covered in mud to the fourth floor. No dependable figures exist for the quantity of setbacks. The town has generally recuperated starting at 2004, however scars are still obviously visible. Within the structure of regulatory divisions, Tyrnyauz fills in as the authoritative focus of Elbrussky District, to which it is specifically subordinated. As a civil division, the town of Tyrnyauz is joined inside Elbrussky Municipal District as Tyrnyauz Urban Settlement.
