Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra

The Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra is a professional flowerbed in Coimbra, Portugal. It was established in 1772-1774 and it was incorporated with the Natural History Museum set up by the Marquis of Pombal. The area for the Hortus Botanicus part of the homestead of S. Bento's College in the Ursulinas Valley was picked by the bad habit chancellor of the University of Coimbra. Domingos Vandelli was the principal manager for the introduction of the garden, followed in 1791 by Felix Avelar Brotero, educator of Botany and Agriculture.
