About Drunen
Drunen is an area within the municipality of Heusden within the Dutch province of Noord Brabant. It is a part of a vicinity referred to as the Langstraat and traditionally recognised for its leather-based and shoe industry. On 1 January 1997, the municipalities of Drunen, Vlijmen and Heusden merged into the Heusden merger municipality. From 1813, Drunen became an impartial municipality, which covered the hamlet of Giersbergen similarly to Drunen and also the Fellenoord, Klinkaert and Pestert demolished buildings.
In 1935, after the dissolution of the unbiased municipality of Elshout & Oud Heusden, the church village of Elshout become added. The former Drunen Heusden Station changed into positioned on the northern edge of the present day buildings, on the west side of the railway crossing and the hamlet of Wolfshoek. Before 1231 the Altena own family borrowed the Count of Holland. On September 9, 1231 it became handed over to the Duke of Brabant, bringing it administratively inside 15 minutes of Oisterwijk.
