National Museum of Viceroyalty

The Museo Nacional del Virreinato is located within the former College of San Francisco Javier complex in Tepotzotlan, Mexico State, Mexico. Belongs to Consejo Nacional para los angeles Cultura y las Artes. The complex was constructed by way of the Jesuits starting within the 1580s. Here, have been based 3 facilities of studying: a college to teach indigenous languages to Jesuit evangelists, a college for Indian boys and the College of San Francisco Javier, to train Jesuit clergymen. The complex contains three sections: the College vicinity, with dormitories, library, kitchen, home chapel and so on.; the Church of San Francisco Javier; and the Church of San Pedro Apostol.

The former university and the Church of San Francisco Javier have been transformed into the Museo del Virreinato, with the previous university area housing a massive collection of art and normal gadgets from the colonial technology, and the Church of San Francisco Javier housing one of the most critical collections of Churrigueresque altarpieces in Mexico. The Church of San Pedro Apostol is the best part of the entire complicated this is nevertheless used for spiritual functions.
