About El Cristo de las Noas

El Cristo de las Noas, situated on the Cerro de las Noas slope, in the Mexican city of Torreon, Coahuila, is a huge figure by Vladimir Alvarado, depicting Jesus Christ. It was worked somewhere in the range of 1973 and 2000. The statue estimates 21.80 meters from its base, and is made of more than 580 tons of strengthened solid; it is the most noteworthy image of Torreon, yet of all the Comarca Lagunera area. The undertaking was considered in 1973 by Jose Rodriguez Tenorio, and is the greatest Christ statue in North America; and third greatest in Latin America, just littler than the statue of Christ The Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Cristo de la Concordia in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

In the haven of Christ of the Noas, there is a religious hotel with imitation of the Holy Land, all encompassing eatery, and before long designs to fabricate a link vehicle, started in 1973 and opened in 2000. This statue owes its name after the slope where it is set, Cerro de las Noas, named after a desert prickly plant that develops in this area. At the Cristo de las Noas Sanctuary, there is a religious touristic complex with Holy Land imitations and an all encompassing cafe.
