About Coatlinchan
Coatlinchan is a town in the Mexican territory of Mexico. San Miguel Coatlinchan is a territory of the province of Mexico, situated in the region of Texcoco. Adjacent was the first area of the stone monument of Tlaloc found today at the passage of the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. As per the Census of Population and Housing, directed by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography in 2010, the complete population of San Miguel Coatlinchan is 22,619 individuals.
Coatlinchan is situated in the south of the region of Texcoco and around 5 kilometers south of the civil seat of the city of Texcoco de Mora, in the progress zone between the Valley of Mexico and the foot of the Sierra Nevada. Rise is designated Sierra Quetzaltepec of which slides the stream Coatlinchan through the Barranca of Santa Clara. Coatlinchan is a population of prehispanic root, established by towns of Chichimeca inception, later the region was attacked by the Acolhuas that went to Coatlinchan in the leader of his senorío until around 1337 in which the head was moved to Tetzcuco, today Texcoco.
