Kazakh Museum

Kazakh Museum of Folk Musical Instruments is a musical instrument museum located in Almaty , Kazakhstan . Located in Panfilov Park, the timber building turned into erected in 1908, simultaneously with Ascension Cathedral. During the period, the military management of the Turkestan governor-generalship as soon as met here for ceremonies and kingdom receptions. After the establishment of the Soviet Union, the building turned into used as the House of Officials till 1980, while it turned into converted into the musical devices museum.

The museum became named after Great Kazakh musician of 19-20th centuries Ykylas, who promoted the purity of folks culture and maintenance of numerous national contraptions. Today, there are more than 1000 items of devices in collection of the museum, that are divided on 60 types of Kazakh countrywide musical units. The collection also includes devices, which were owned by means of famous singers-improvisers and composers. The maximum ancient well-knownshows are dated again to the 17th century.
