About Kifune Shrine

Kibune is famous among locals and tourisits; it is a residential community in a forested valley in the northern piles of Kyoto City, which created around Kifune Shrine. As per legend, a goddess went in a pontoon from Osaka as far as possible up the waterway into the mountains north of Kyoto, and Kifune Shrine was worked at the site where her vessel travel had arrived at an end.
