VASANTGAD FORT

Vasantgad Fort was worked by Shilhara King Bhoj. Shivaji Maharaj vanquished the fortification in 1659 CE from Adil Shah. Afterward, Rajaram Maharaj, the child of Shivaji Maharaj remained for quite a while in this fortress when he came back from Gingee. Aurangzeb caught this stronghold in 1700 CE and named it Killa-da-Fateh. The Marathas recovered the post in 1706 CE.
