Minjur

Minjur is a neighbourhood in North Chennai in the Thiruvallur region in the Indian territory of Tamil Nadu. Minjur is called 'Vada Kanchi' for North Kanchipuram. The town has two celebrated sanctuaries for Siva and Vishu, like Kanchipuram. It has a normal rise of 11 meters 36 feet. With Ponneri as its north, Cholaam as its west, Manali New Town, Manali and Thiruvottiyur as its south, it is arranged around 25 km from north of Chennai and very much associated with that city with roadways and railroads. Minjur is a very much created town which contains in excess of 20 towns around it with most towns immature as far as streets, schools, and different amenaties.

Minjur has a place with Ponneri taluk. Minjur is one of the rural spots of Chennai which is very developing as far as Education, Industrialization, and Agriculture, which are extending significantly. Minjur, in its territory zone, is double the extent of Thiruvottiyur and thrice that of Ponneri which is especially close to Minjur. The Minjur seawater desalination plant, which supplies 100 million liters daily water to Chennai city, was introduced on July 31, 2010. External Ring Road ORR which interfaces southern Chennai Vandalur on NH 45 to Minjur is a principle part of the CMDA's Second Master Plan for the more noteworthy Chennai.
