About Maihar
Maihar is a town with region in Satna area in the Indian territory of Madhya Pradesh. Maihar is known for the sanctuary of the respected mother goddess Sharda arranged on Trikuta slope. Maihar has a conspicuous place in Indian traditional music as the origination of the Maihar Gharana, a gharana school or style of Hindustani music. The best doyen of Indian traditional music, Ustad Allauddin Khan passed on 1972 lived here for quite a while and was the court artist of Maihar Maharaja's castle.
His understudies advanced the style in the twentieth century and a portion of his famous supporters are Pandit Ravi Shankar and Nikhil Banerjee. The primary Ustad Allauddin Khan music meeting was held by Shri Deep Chand Jain in 1962. Consistently, Maihar composes a 2/3 days Cultural Event in the memory of Ustad Allauddin Khan in month of February.

- Maa Sharda Devi Temple: Maihar is known for the Maa Sharda devi temple around of 502 A.D., arranged at the highest point of Trikoota slope which is around 5 km from the railroad station. There are 1,063 stages to achieve the highest point of the slope. Alongside stairs,there is ropeway for comfort of the explorers created government experts.
- Gola Math Temple: This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. This east-bound Pancharathi temple is worked in Nagara style and has been worked amid Kalchuri period tenth – eleventh century A.D.. It is said that this sanctuary was worked in one fortnight as it were.
- Some different attractions are BadiMai Temple, Oila Temple, Alha Temple, Bada Akhada Temple, Pannikhoh Falls and Caves, Purva Falls.
