Satna is a city in the Satna District of An indian area of Madhya Pradesh. It is home for region's administrative home office. Satna region is a bit of the Baghelkhand area, a huge piece of which was managed by the Rewa. A little fragment of the western area was managed by feudatory supervisor under the British.
There were eleven such states, specifically Maihar, Nagod State, Sohawal, Kothi, Jaso, Baraundha and the five Chaube Jagirs of Chanpurwa, Pahra, Taraon, Bhaisunda and Kamta-Rajaula. They had their capital at Mahishmati recognized by some with Maheshwar in Khargone District, from where they seem to have been driven eastwards.
