Latehar

Latehar is a town which is additionally central command of Latehar region, Jharkhand, India. Latehar is known for its indigenous habitat, backwoods, woods items and mineral stores. Latehar remained a piece of Palamau District as a sub division since 1924. It was lifted from sub divisional status to a locale on 4 April 2001, vide Jharkhand Govt.. Latehar is situated on the north– west corner of Jharkhand in the Palamau Commissionary.

The zone was most likely possessed via autochthonous clans previously. The Kharwars, Oraons and Cheros, three oboriginal races managed over this tract.
