About Bhagirathi Shila
Bhagirathi Shila is the rock, where King Bhagirath is stated to have pondered. This stone near the temple of Ganga indicates the site where Goddess Ganga first stepped right down to earth. Gangotri is a famous pilgrimage centre, that's positioned inside Gangotri the district of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand.
