About Vlotho
Vlotho is a town within the district of Herford, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The first historic information of Vlotho go back to the 12 months 1185. In 1248, Vlotho received the official fame of a metropolis, but lost it once more due to each pestilence and conflict. In the seventeenth century, Vlotho recovered as a area for enterprise, most substantially paper. During the Thirty Years War, on 17 October 1638 Vlotho become the website online of a war, which resulted in a victory for an Imperial army below the command of Field Marshal Melchior, Count of Hatzfeldt over a Palatinate-Swedish navy below the command of Charles Louis of Palatine.
In 1650, Vlotho regained the right to maintain a market, and in 1719, have become an independent metropolis. A harbour turned into constructed and Vlotho have become the location of cigar, gadget, and textile industry. In 1875, Vlotho station changed into built, and in 1928, a bridge changed the ferry across the Weser river. In 1969, the antique city of Vlotho was unified with the communities of Exter and Valdorf. In 1973, Uffeln joined Vlotho.
