About Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum

From that point forward the exhibition hall's supply of painting and figure from the twelfth century to the twentieth century has developed consistently. Probably the most profitable more seasoned pieces are by the Renaissance artist Tilman Riemenschneider, and there are sketches from a similar period by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Albrecht Bouts and Joos van Cleve. The historical center's print room is a very much respected and has shocking pieces by any semblance of Goya, Rembrandt, and Albrecht Dürer.

Somewhat later are the works by Francisco de Zurbarán, Jacob Jordaens, Anthony van Dyck and Frans Hals. While the cutting edge workmanship gathering has sketches by August Macke, Otto Dix, and Alexej von Jawlensky. The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum is named after the investor and workmanship authority BartholdSuermondt who gave his craft accumulation to the city in the 1880s.
