Kirchhundem

Kirchhundem is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has a place with the Olpe district. The people group of Kirchhundem lies in the Olpe district's southeast in the south Sauerland and has a place with the supposed Bilsteiner Bergland mountain area. The Kirchhundem country regions likewise incorporate, in the east, the West Rothaar and part of the Auer Ederbergland, in the south the Brachthauser Hohe Waldberge, in the west the Rahrbacher Mulde bowl and in the north the Hundemgrund.

Kirchhundem, with a community of 147.9 km², is the Olpe district's greatest municipality via land territory. The people group of Kirchhundem lies in the east of the district territory. It fringes in the west and north on the towns of Olpe and Lennestadt and in the far upper east on the town of Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis. The people group of Kirchhundem in its present structure appeared on 1 July 1969 on the event of city changes. Kirchhundem was doled out regions earlier having a place with the networks of Heinsberg, Kohlhagen and Oberhundem in the old Amt of Kirchhundem, portions of the previous network of Kirchhundem and the network of Rahrbach, in the past having a place with the Amt of Bilstein.
