Cologne Cathedral is one of the most known Churches in the world and arguably the most beautiful as well. Recognized as a World heritage site and described as exceptional work of human creative genius by UNESCO, Cologne Cathedral has the second tallest church spires in the world. In fact, ti was the tallest structure in the world between 1880-1884. The main attraction of the church is the amazing view of the city that one gets after climbing the 500 odd steps to the top of south tower. There is the shrine of the Three Kings in a glided sarcophagus which makes the cathedral a sacred one. Build in Gothic Style, there is no structure in Northern Europe to challenge the dominance of the Cologne Cathedral.
