About Salle du Jeu de Paume

This room of brandish built for the court which is famous for child oath of the Jeu de Paume. It was the founding document of the French democracy. The Room of the game of Palm of Versailles was built in 1686 for the needs for the court the game of palm is the ancestor of tennis.
It was the theatre of the oath of the game of Palm of June 20th, 1789: at this point in time 578 deputies of the General states which gathered of them proclaimed National Assembly and swore not to separate before to have given a constitution to France.
