About Grand Trianon

The Grand Trianon was raised by Jules Hardouin-Mansart. Appointed by Louis XIV in 1670 to make tracks in an opposite direction from the burdensome grandeur of life in the court and to seek after his undertaking with Me de Montespan, the Grand Trianon may be the most refined compositional outfit found on the imperial bequest of Versailles.

"A little castle of pink marble and porphyry, with glorious patio nurseries," composed Jules Hardouin-Mansart. The designer regarded Louis XIV's directions to the letter, and the ruler watched out for the advance of the building work, he even actually authorized the development of the Peristyle.

Intensely affected by Italian engineering, the castle is set over a solitary story flanked by a patio on one side and gardens on the other. A balustrade circles the level rooftop, beforehand enhanced with models of kids, decorative vases and different figures.
