About Angola Prison Spring Rodeo

 
Angola Rough Riders enter the area at full gallop and colorings are offered. All six chutes open concurrently, liberating six irritated bulls, with quickly attached inmate cowboys. The ultimate man to stay on the bull wins the occasion. It's the final poker recreation, or even winning has a charge.  Four inmate cowboys sit at a table inside the center of the area playing a friendly game of poker.  Suddenly, a wild bull is launched with the sole motive of unseating the poker players.  The final man last seated is the winner.
 
Thousands line up for the danger to spend an afternoon in jail and revel in "The Wildest Show in the South"; The Angola Rodeo offers a slate of activities that consists of bull driving, bareback riding, a wild horse race, barrel racing, bull-dogging, wild cow milking, convict poker, rodeo clowns, and different hair-elevating spectacles. The arts & crafts display, which functions hundreds of objects hand-crafted by means of Louisiana State Penitentiary inmates, is sort of as popular.
