About Ramesseum Temple

Ramses II called his gigantic commemoration 'the Temple of Millions of Years of User-Maat-Ra'; established guests called it the tomb of Ozymandias; and Jean-François Champollion, who deciphered hieroglyphics, called it the Ramesseum. Like other dedication sanctuaries it was a piece of Ramses II's funerary complex.

His tomb was fabricated somewhere down in the slopes, yet his commemoration sanctuary was on the edge of the developed territory on a trench that associated with the Nile and with other remembrance sanctuaries. Not at all like the all around protected structures that Ramses II worked at Karnak and Abu Simbel, his dedication sanctuary has not survived the circumstances exceptionally well. It has been broadly reestablished.
