She was canonized as a Saint by Pope Francis on 23 November 2014 in Vatican City. Her feast is on August 29. With the shrine is a museum which showcases St. Euphrasia’s life since her childhood until her canonization. One can see the relic of the saint in the shrine. Tomb of the saint is also in the Shrine. After breakfast check out and proceed to Bharananganam. St. Alphonsa Shrine Church was built in the year 1945 as a cemetery chapel. Canonization of Sr. Alphonsa was on 12th October 2008. Suffering sanctifies our life; we cannot lead a proper Christian life without accepting it: this is the message that Blessed Alphonsa conveys to us through her life. After breakfast proceed to Mannanam. Mannanam was the first house of the CMI CongregationMother House of which the foundation stone was laid on 11 May 1831 by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chaa. He started a printing press first in Catholic Church Wooden Press in 1846 at Mannanam and many spiritual books were printed in this. Feast of St. Kuriakose Elias Chaa is on 03 rd Jan.
