Monument to the Sun

Monument to the Sun or The Greeting to the Sun is the monument in Zadar, Croatia devoted to the Sun. It includes 300 multi-layered glass plates positioned on the same degree with the stone-paved waterfront inside the shape of a 22-meter diameter circle, with the image-voltage sun modules below. Lighting factors established in a circle activate at night time, and convey display of light.

Monument symbolizes verbal exchange with nature, with the goal to communicate with light, whilst the close by Sea organ represent purpose to talk with sound. Monument consists of 300 multi-layered glass plates located at the equal level with the stone-paved waterfront inside the form of a 22-meter diameter circle. Beside the main installation, searching from the west facet, above the Sea organ, are placed comparable smaller installations representing other planets of the sun system. Sheet length of the Sun and planets are proportional, in addition to the gap from the middle of each plate for themselves, but now not both at the identical time because the planet installations would should be from some hundred meters to several tens of kilometers away from the Sun.
