Where most of the tourists to Trinidad and Tobago miss out is when they remain too engrossed in the spectacular beaches and culture of Trinidad and Tobago, and are hardly left with any time to explore other facets of this not so ordinary Caribbean country. Up north, Trinidad and Tobago is marked with high mountains. Hidden in them are stunning waterfalls, rare wildlife species and scores of hiking trails rarely tread. Choose for a guide who knows the local areas very well as it is easy to loose your way in the woods since the routes are not well marked.
