India is a country that is well balanced in terms of culture, tradition, and lifestyle. People of different parts of India have their own choice and perception of looking things around and enjoying the foods that are preferred in their culture. Thus, India has wide variety of cuisines that are preferred in different regions. Most of the time it is noted that people of these regions when go abroad and eat their food, people in abroad find it annoying and unpleasing. The hatred towards various Indian foods is noted several times in various countries. Most fo the foreigners react weird when Indian foods are shared on the same table with them.

Here are some of the Indian foods that are highly loved by Indians but are annoyed by the people from foreign countries.

  • The reason for the hatred of the Indian veg foods in foreign countries is due to their lifestyle and geographical location. Most of the country prefer eating non-veg food and have dislike towards simple Indian dishes.
  • Sweets like Kaju Katli, Barfi and Jalebi are disliked by people of different countries. The reason is different for each of them. Some avoid eating it because of high calorie, eating style and some due to their taste.
  • Most of the Indian food is cooked by mustard oil that smells to most of the foreigners. The smells of various dishes are annoying to people and because of these reasons they avoid eating Indian dishes.
  • Indian highly loved Dahi-Bhaat or Dahi butti and is popular all around India, but it is highly disgusting dish for people all around the world.
  • Dishes like Kadi pakauda, Kheer, Samosa and Gulab Jamuns are avoided in various countries. The reason may be the taste, as most of the Indian food are spicy or too sweet and looks unhealthy to foreign people.

However, this is the one side of mirror; on the other hand, most of the Indian dishes like Tandoori Chicken, chicken tikka masal are highly preferred by the UK people and is highly popular there. Thus, food that are prepared well and marketed has their preference in every country and people are fond of those Indian dishes. Indians are very adaptive to any food and love enjoying with other, the same has to be taught to foreigners to show empathy and understand the real feel and emotions that Indian’s hold for various dished
