Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is among the most popular picnic spot for the locales as well as tourists. Built in the year 1906, the park originally had the residence of the Royal Naito Family. It covers a total area of 58.3 hectares and has a total circumference of 3.5 km. One could easily notice the difference in the landscapes of the park which are divided into three styles: French Formal, English Landscape and Japanese Traditional. The best time to visit the park is in springs when the 20,000 odd trees are in full bloom with millions of multi colored flowers.
