About Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier National Park was the fifth national park to be made and was opened by William McKinley in 1899. It is huge, estimating 236,000 sections of land, while the mountain itself, the fifth most noteworthy in the United States, emerges from the Cascade Mountain Range at 14,411 feet. The recreation center has such a significant number of different environments, for example, old-development timberlands, massive ice sheets, waterfalls, high knolls abounding with wildflowers, and profound chasms and valleys.

It is home to a wealth of natural life. Cougars, wild bears, catamounts, deer, elk, mountain goats, and numerous different creatures meander openly, while brilliant birds, bald eagles, peregrine hawks, and spotted owls fly over the excellent stop. Guests may climb, camp, climb, sled, crosscountry ski, and snowboard through the recreation center. Licenses are required for overnight outdoors.
