1. Airline Passengers Can Now Check In from Delhi Metro Stations
Good news for airline passengers. Now, Air India and Jet Airways passengers from Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi will soon be able to check-in two Metro stations of the Indian capital. Effective from 1st July 2016, air travellers will now be able to use check-in services effectively at the New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium stations. The scheme that was previously available only allowed Air India passengers to check-in at New Delhi station. This marks an expansion to that previous scheme and will greatly benefit busy scheduled air travellers.
The service is available now for both domestic and international passengers of the previously stated two airlines. The check-in counters at the two Metro stations will close before two hours of the flight’s scheduled departure time. The officers of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation stated that travellers will be able to check-in the luggage and get their boarding passes at the mentioned stations, and the luggage will be transferred to the airport safely.
