Holi is one of the main festivals of Hindu which is mostly celebrated in all parts of India. This festival is celebrated as the victory of good over evil by burning the demoness named “Holika”. Holi is celebrated in all parts of India by the end of March which marks the end of the winters and upcoming of spring harvesting season. Mathura is famous for celebrating the festival of Holi in most traditional way.  It is just four hours away from Delhi.  One can plan a trip to Mathura for experiencing the traditional Holi. You can visit Barsana which is famous for Lath mar Holi and laddoo Holi festivals in which sweets are thrown around and spiritual songs are sung. It is a city of temples and shrines with thousands of devotees who come to visit this city of Lord Krishna. The city stretches along the bank of yamuna which makes a splendid vision.

Another place to be visited in the weekend of Holi is Agra. Agra is one of the prominent destinations with three heritage monuments - The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri & Red Fort.
