Best Places To Visit In Bhutan

Most famous place of Bhutan -Located amidst the dense forest of Blue Pines and Rhododendrons, Tiger Nest Monastery is set on a mountain cliff. To reach this amazing place one has to climb 900 meters up to the hill. You can take a Pony if you desire though it might only take you till the cafeteria of the monastery. Here onwards you need to walk a steep stairway to reach the main Snow Lion Cave. This monastery holds great importance as from here only Guru Rinpoche incepted Buddhism in Bhutan. The view of the Paro valley from here is awe-inspiring.

2. Punakha Dzong 4.9 

Also known as Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang (The Palace f Happiness) it is the most splendid dzong of the country. Placed strategically between two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu the dzong is a 3 hours drive from the national capital Thimpu. You can experience a moderate climate in this place and experience the winds of the lilac colored Jacaranda trees.

4. Uma Paro Hotel 4.9 

It is an archaeological hotel nestling on a Himalayan mountain, a 10 minutes drive from the Paro Airport. It is covered with Pine trees and is the most celebrated boutique hotel in Bhutan. 5. Gangtey Valley 4.9 

The best time to visit this valley is during winters. It is also known as the Shangri- La of Bhutan and makes Bhutan as a country having the largest Shangri-la in the world. The pleasure of stepping on a wide field that doesn’t have any trees, while the whole way your trek up was through dense forest is something really amazing. The main vegetation of the trek is Rhododendrons, Bamboos, Ferns, Pines, Magnolia, etc. During winter you can also see the magnificent black-necked cranes in this valley.
