About Vasilyevsky Island

Vasilyevsky Island is an island in St. Petersburg, Russia, circumscribed by the Bolshaya Neva and Malaya Neva Rivers in the delta of the Neva River in the south and upper east, and by the Gulf of Finland in the west. Vasilyevsky Island is isolated from Dekabristov Island by the Smolenka River. Together they shape the region of Vasileostrovsky District, an authoritative division of Saint Petersburg. Arranged directly over the stream from the Winter Palace, it constitutes a huge bit of the city's memorable focus. Two of the most well-known St. Petersburg spans, Palace Bridge and Blagoveshchensky Bridge, interface it with the terrain toward the south.

The Exchange Bridge and Tuchkov Bridge over the Malaya Neva associate it with Petrogradsky Island. Vasilyevsky Island is served by Vasileostrovskaya and Primorskaya stations of Saint Petersburg Metro Line 3 Spb metro, line 3 svg. There are plans to manufacture new Metro stations on Vasilyevsky Island by expanding Line 4 the Orange Line to the Island. Furthermore, the island is adjusted by transport courses and tramway lines. Initially, organizers needed Vasilyevsky Island to have waterways in lieu of avenues like Venice. Nonetheless, this arrangement never happened as intended and today the island has roads.
