About Kobylka
Kobylka is a city in the Mazowieckie voivodship, in the Wolomin district. In the years 1975 to 1998 the town became administratively a part of the Warsaw province. In the Warsaw agglomeration, approx. 17 km from the center of Warsaw towards the north east at the Mazowiecka Lowland. It has handy train and bus connections with the capital. Located at the railway line No. 6 from Warsaw to Bialystok. Until 1954, the seat of the agricultural commune of Kobylka.
The first settlement becomes established at the beginning of the 15th century, it changed into referred to as Targowa Wola or Zaluszczyn. A noble village based within the 2nd half of the 16th century inside the Warsaw poviat of the Warsaw Province of Mazovia turned into owned by Stanislaw Minski. In the second half of within the 18th century, a Persia plant turned into established here, producing silk and stable belts, a Jesuit printing residence and an agricultural college.
In 1794, the penultimate battle of the Kosciuszko Insurrection with the Russian navy happened. The warfare of Kobylka ended with the defeat of the insurgents. During the Battle of Warsaw in nearby Ossow, clashes came about, in which on August 14, 1920, Father Ignacy Skorupka died. At that time, there has been a telegraph station in Kobylka.
