La Loma

La Loma is a town located in the Municipality of Tecpan de Galeana, within the State of Guerrero. It has 11,090 inhabitants. San Luis de Los Angeles Loma is 20 meters above sea stage. The Acapulco-Zihuatanejo countrywide highway passes via this town. San Luis La Loma is one of the maximum populated towns of the Municipality of Tecpan de Galeana and its weather is warm Tropical with rainfall in summer season. It changed into founded in 1492 with the appearance of Christopher Columbus, giving it the name of Zihuatlan from the Nahoa language because of this Land wherein many ladies live.

In 1700 all through the Holy Inquisition it was renamed by using two Catholic nuns called the Soberanis women, originally from Apatzingan, Michoacán, henceforth and San Pedro Apostol. In 1723 the Soberanis women determined to extend the city further and made a small community called Barrio de la Loma the hill that stimulated the nuns is the modern market of the town later renamed as San Luis Rey.
