Bally

Bally is a town in Howrah District, West Bengal, India. This territory is secured by Howrah Municipal Corporation. It is a town of recorded significance. Situated at the north-eastern tip of the Howrah region, on the banks of the River Hooghly, it is directly over the waterway from the Dakshineswar Kali Temple and close to the Belur Math. Kalyaneshwar Mandir is a Shiva sanctuary arranged in Bally, Howrah, in the Indian territory of West Bengal.

It is over 500 years of age and is visited by a huge number of priests and lovers consistently. It is encompassed by Kali, Ganesh, Vishnu and Bajrangbali Temples. The sanctuary was set up by villagers over 500 years back, supported by the Jamindar neighborhood landowner of that time.

Legends say that Ramakrishna Dev visited the sanctuary every now and again alongside his supporters from Ramakrishna Mission, including Swami Vivekananda and Swami Brahmananda. This custom is still trailed by the priests of Ramakrishna Mission. Celebrations in this sanctuary are Maha Shiatri and Charaksankranti. Other vital celebrations incorporate Ramnavami and Rash mela.
