Superbly set in a remote stream valley situated at upper east of Aurangabad, the significant surrender asylums of Ajanta are this present area's second World Heritage Site. Fundamentally more prepared than Ellora, these restricted hollows date from around the second century BC to the 6th century AD and were among the most prompt religious associations to be created in the country.
